From a early age I was always tinkering with something, taking apart and repairing things. but most of all I always felt a need to be creating something. I took music, art, welding, and woodworking courses.
Early on I was into woodworking making furniture, picture frames, and sculptures. I went to college to study electronics, after a lengthy career as a service engineer with a major corporation I retired to pursue my love of art.
Most of the metal I use is recycled from scrap yards or found objects. It's a great feeling bringing new life to discarded metal.
My creations are mainly of modern or contemporary abstract form. The ideas for my art come mostly from my surroundings, nature, architecture, and my dreams. A shadow cast on a wall or a crack in the pavement can give me an idea that turns into a sculpture. Watching science fiction movies helps a lot too. The mind has no limits......
